Study Abroad

Travel. That is on a majority of society’s bucket list. Everyone wants to tour the world and see the different sights and sounds of cultures outside of our American way. Having the chance to see it has a college student is even better. We only live once, if the opportunity is there to study abroad for students they should take it. They are only young once, so let them go to the festivals and fall in love. Many say they will travel later, but life can get busy and things can be put on delay. When a college offers the program to study abroad the students should take it. It's a great chance to see and interact with cultures that are not like us. The chance to go to Spain may be a once in a lifetime chance. The students would be able to practice speaking the language, practice money, and practice the lifestyle. Not only to see the culture, but to learn from it. To be able to experience the traditions and customs of people from around the world.
On the other hand, to study abroad is expensive and requires dedication, time to work and save money, to earn scholarships, take out loans to help with this once and a lifetime chance to see and experience the culture outside of America. The down side would be to afford the trip, but if it's a passion they want to follow they will come up with a way to go.

Being outside the country three times was definitely eye opening. The French community is much different, but being able to experience it was great, to see the different people and the way they live compared to us is outstanding. The other country that stood out the most was Russia. The home country at the time was very poor, makes you stop about how great Americans have it. Having the chance to study abroad in Russia would be a definitely once in a lifetime chance. To go back to my home country would be a chance to see the culture in action. A chance to speak the language and try the different foods and study the art and history of the country or any country is worth the payment.
Colleges and Universities should be able to allow students to study abroad if they want to. A chance to see the world and learn all the different types of worlds that are out there.
