When I think of the word "Leadership" I think of a person who is willing to lead others rather than to order them around. That is what a boss is, and everyone would rather choose being a leader over being a boss unless they don't care about the people that look up to them. Being a leader requires dedication and being able to sacrifice and work with others even if that means you are working more than them, that's what being a leader is supposed to be like.

Leadership skills are absolutely necessary for college success because without it, you'll just have a bunch of people that don't know what to do and are failing their classes and wishing they could find some help but won't be able to get any because you didn't bother being a leader or helping. Everyone has the potential of being a person people look up to, but it's just a matter of who is up for the challenge. A lot of people think they aren't up for it and decide to only help themselves knowing they need some help as well.

When one decides to be a leader, they are making college an easier place to be and are making everyone around them think that being a leader is not so hard, they just needed motivation in order to do so. It is so much harder to be a "boss" in college because you can't just order people around to do things they don't want to do, which means the only way to be a true boss is to make it to the top in some company and order people around. Instead of being a person that no one likes, be a person that people will look up to and someone that sacrifices for everyone not just themselves and that will make everyone's experience in college a lot better.
