My high school year book quote will say, “ Set the bar, be ambitious and keep your priorities above all”. My meaningful quote will be written under my senior portrait and will be view many times for year to come.
I know that every time I set a bar and reach it I get closer to achieving my end results. Whether is was passing finals in first grade to passing my SAT’s or getting my high school diploma, I knew what I had to do each time I set that bar. Sometimes the bar was within my reached, I could see it, but my first try I didn’t succeed. I didn’t give up I tried harder and when I succeeded I knew I was closer to reaching my end goal. This tell that I am good at setting goals and successfully attaining them.
When I think of all the things I have accomplished I knew it was because I had the ambition to make it happen. I started out with surrounding myself with positive people, from a role model teachers, competitive coach, to an encouraging friend and my supportive parents. My aim was to surround myself with people who motivated me and empower my ambition to the success. Many of these people are still an important part of my life. Some are friends I have known since first grade, we play football and baseball together. We bonded over practicing together during our off seasons. During game time we help cheer for each other and motivating each other. This helped fuel my ambition to play harder and win games. It also tell that I am a very ambitious person and I know how to stay motivated.
I am a busy seventeen year old with a lot on my schedule but I keep my priorities above all which helps me from doing wasteful things. I ask myself “why” before everything I do, this helps me priorities the things that are important from the things that are not. When I feel I have too much going on at one time, I try to eliminated the things after asking myself “why”. For example during our football season, I had to take my SAT exam in the morning and play a football game later that same day. I knew studying for the exam was more important than the football game because getting a good score was more important than winning the game. It also tells that I am good at balancing my obligations and keeping my priorities in check.
