The ISEE Lower Level Math is one of the four sections that your child will have on their examination. Your child can use Varsity Tutors’ Learning Tools as a free way to study for their ISEE on a daily or weekly basis. The Lower Level Math section of the ISEE test evaluates and assesses your child’s grasp on the concepts they have studied that year. The Question of the Day Learning Tool offers you a way to regularly test your child on these concepts as they go, or before the test, without spending a lot of time on them. You can then use the results to add or remove concepts from your child’s study list as necessary. They can focus their study time, rather than studying longer to cover everything.
The Lower Level Math section of the test focuses on a variety of topics. You can help your child refresh the information they have learned, or use it as a supplement to their coursework throughout the year. With random questions, your child is able to test their reflex skills on the core concepts, which can help you to evaluate their preparedness for the exam.
The question chosen each day is randomly pulled from the ISEE Lower Level Math section practice tests. These are labeled with concepts, so you can see what concepts your child is strong and weak in. The questions cover concepts like equation solutions, sets in a list, parts in a list, tables, Venn diagrams, probabilities and outcomes, coordinate geometry, plane geometry, distributive property, fractions, operations, ratios, proportions, whole, and parts. These concepts are cycled through at random with the Question of the Day tool, keeping the information fresh on your child’s mind.
If your child needs additional review, there are other Learning Tools available that offer free Lower Level Math ISEE practice. You can use Learn by Concept, full-length timed practice tests, smaller practice tests that focus on specific topics, and flashcards on a regular basis at no cost to help your child study. Each of these tools are based on the specific test, offering a form of study that is ideal to work with your child’s current coursework. This whole package can be tailored to create a study plan that is specifically suited for your child. When your child has a solid study plan, they may find that their improvement in the areas where they focus is greater than when they split their attention among all the concepts.
Using the Question of the Day to study for the Lower Level Math section of the ISEE can offer your child an easygoing way to study without too much stress. Your child is timed, but they can take as long as they need to complete each question. The site has created a way for the timer to be an effective tool for testing your child, as you can see how strong they really are in the areas, even with correct answers. Consider the benefits of the Question of the Day as you create a study plan for your child using Varsity Tutors’ Learning Tools.
