Math can feel like a wall for a lot of students. It's one of those subjects where, if you miss even a small step, everything that comes after starts to feel impossible. I've been tutoring for a few years now, and what I've learned is that no one's "bad" at maththey've just never been shown a version that makes sense to them.
I specialize in algebra, precalculus, and statistics. I started tutoring at a community college learning center, working with students across all backgrounds and ability levels. That experience taught me how to meet people where they arenot just academically, but mentally. My goal is always the same: slow things down, make the patterns visible, and rebuild confidence from the ground up.
I study bioinformatics in the Honors College at the University of Utah, where I get to explore the intersection of math, biology, and data. I'm a deeply visual thinker, and that shows up in my tutoringI try to break things down not just into steps, but into structures. I want students to walk away not just with answers, but with a deeper sense of how the system works and how to approach problems in the future.
If you're overwhelmed, behind, or just want someone who can explain things without judgment, I'm here for that. I don't believe in rushing or one-size-fits-all learning. I believe in understanding. And that's what I aim to give in every session.

I spend a lot of time reading—mostly science, philosophy, and anything that helps me understand systems better. I enjoy building decks in Magic: The Gathering, especially ones that test strange mechanics or break conventional patterns. I like solving puzzles, thinking through ideas that don’t have easy answers, and learning how things work—especially when they work in unexpected ways. Most days, I’m just trying to understand the world a little better than I did the day before.
