I am a results-oriented tutor passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals. In my previous tutoring roles at Lafayette Christian Academy and Francis Marion University, I helped students improve their grades by an average of one letter grade. I am particularly proud of helping a student struggling with English, history, reading, elementary math, and political science raise their grade in each subject by at least one letter grade. To achieve these results, I utilized a variety of teaching methods, including visual aids, interactive exercises, and real-world examples, to cater to each student's learning style. For the student struggling with multiple subjects, I developed a personalized study plan that focused on breaking down complex concepts into smaller, more manageable parts and incorporated regular check-ins to monitor their progress. My expertise in English ranges from grammar and composition to literary analysis, and in history, I specialize in American history and African American history. My political science background includes a focus on comparative politics and political theory. I am confident that my ability to connect with students, combined with my strong understanding of these subjects, allows me to make a significant impact on their learning.
