Certified Tutor

I have a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Union College and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from CUNY Lehman College. I have 3 years teaching experience. I am passionate about teaching and tutoring in mathematics and software engineering.

My most recent full-time role was a Software Engineering Instructor at Flatiron School teaching full-stack web development in JavaScript, React, Python, SQL, and Flask. Before Flatiron School I was a Technical Teaching Assistant for non-profit Change Food for Good where I provided 1-on-1 sessions on web development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript enabling them to build web applications showing off their urban farm work.

I was also a Web Developer Instructor for nonprofit The Knowledge House teaching middle and high schoolers web development and as a contractor for the NAN Tech program teaching seniors web development.

I also have extensive experience building applications in Java, JavaScript, Python, SQL, and PHP. I have deployed applications on Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, and the Microsoft Store.
I therefore have extensive coding experience and I am passionate about teaching others how to code.

I am also passionate about and have extensive knowledge in mathematics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, Calculus 1, 2, and 3, and logic and set theory. I have written a thesis as an undergraduate at Union College about the mathematics of the Maya Empire and create an application that converts decimal numbers to Maya numbers. Outside of work I go to tech meetups and occasionally participate in Hackathon. I am also an animal enthusiast and watch live drives conducted by WildEarth.
