Certified Tutor

I received my BS degree in chemistry from James Madison University. I then attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where I received a PhD in chemistry. I currently work as a researcher using analytical chemistry tools to advance public health. During my time in undergraduate and graduate school I have taught laboratories, a section of an undergraduate analytical chemistry course. I have also tutored students in chemistry, math, and other sciences at both the high school and undergraduate level. I really enjoy tutoring, especially chemistry, in that it allows me to interact closely with students to be better able to understand exactly where they might be having issues, which allows me to better assist them in mastering their subject. Outside of work and tutoring, I enjoy reading, going to concerts, and spending as much time as possible with my family often times outdoors hiking and camping.
