My teaching philosophy is simple: to excite students about the field and its role in the world around them. It is my responsibility to introduce competing arguments, to share with students various ways to evaluate arguments, to consider alternative viewpoints, and to stimulate the originality that is innate in each student. Additionally, because students possess different learning strategies/abilities, I make an extra effort to present class materials in various formats. In my sessions, I will use lectures, articles, visual learning aids, organized notes, charts, and diagrams to present course materials.
