Eric Hellstrom has worked over 20+ years in the emergency field. Before his fire department retirement he was a Bureau Chief over Logistics for a fire department in NE Florida. Chief Hellstrom has worked as an instructor for the fire service, the State of Florida, the American Red Cross, and adjunct faculty for the University of Oregon.
Chief Hellstrom holds a Master of Arts in Emergency and Disaster Management from American Military University. a Bachelor of Science from Columbian Southern University, and currently working toward his Doctor of Business Administration at Walden University. He is graduate of the National Fire Academies Managing Officer and Executive Fire Officer Program. He is also a recipient of the 'Presidents Award' and 'Distinguished Service Award' from the United States Lifesaving Association and the Florida Beach Patrol Chief's Association.
Chief Hellstrom has served on multiple Incident Management Teams in many roles. He has served as Planning Section Chief, Liaison, Public Information Officer, Assistant Incident Commander, and primarily, Finance Section Chief on a wide variety of emergencies and disasters. These include wildfires, hurricanes, law enforcement operations, and the duration of the COVID19 pandemic. He holds multiple NIMS certifications and is currently an IS300/400 instructor.
Chief Hellstrom has two boys and volunteers for several local organizations including his son's Boy Scout Troop.
