Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of William Carey University. I received my Masters of Education in English. Since graduation, I have taught multiple subjects and multiple grade levels. I have taught high school English Learners in English 1, English 2, U.S. History, and Biology 1. I have also taught English 1, English 2 Accelerated, and English Composition at the high school level. In addition to high school level, I have taught Mechanics of Communication at the community college level. I am currently an elementary special education teacher who co-teaches ELA and Math. While I have taught a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Literature, and Grammar. In my experience, helping struggling students to become more confident in order to prepare for tests, we always seem to have the most fun (with remarkable advancements) prepping for the Critical Reading and Writing portions of the exams. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading books on my back porch, cooking new dishes, walking my Boxer Bria Bonita, going on cruises, and spending time with family.
