Certified Tutor

I am an aspiring biochemist who has earned a Bachelors of Science degree in biochemistry from Brigham Young University. I plan to start a PhD in the same subject and to do research in human diseases for my career. I hope to alleviate human suffering through my and others' efforts. Another goal of mine is to learn how to teach. I enjoy the feeling of seeing eye to eye with students as they click in their minds about a certain principle or solve problems on their own! I am well versed in subjects such as Spanish, in which I am fluent, general college chemistry and lower grade levels, and the physics of motion/newtonian mechanics. Other subjects related to biochemistry and physiology are a little weaker but I can make do. Though I am new to tutoring as of 2024, I am confident in my ability to teach and help you excel in those subjects, given my experience helping my peers in college with homework and learning.
My teaching style rests on four pillars: 1- Understanding what you know about the lesson material. 2- Helping you understand what the lesson will cover. 3- Ask you questions to confirm you understanding of principles and your ability to correctly do practice problems. 4- You asking me questions at any time without any hesitation (that's the best way I can help you, by answering all of your questions!!)
