I am passionate about students develop to their individual full potential and to learn how the complexities of the past still have significance today.
I have taught History, Humanities and Politics since 2007 in A Level, GCSE, KS3, IBDP and the Middle Year Programme with excellent exam results.
I received a a Distinction in my Masters degree in Empires, Colonialism and Globalisation from LSE and received a bachelors degree in Archaeology from the University of Bristol. I know what top research and essay writing should look like for extended essays and coursework. I believe every student has excellent potential and every lesson will be tailored to your needs to ensure you can flourish and enjoy your learning too!
I will focus on what your specific goals are, whether that is building essay writing skills, working under timed conditions, how to learn content for the exam, or source analysis. The feedback I give you will always be developmental, focusing specifically on what you are doing well, so that you know to keep doing it and to stay motivated, but also specific ways in which you can improve, as well as techniques you can apply to evaluate the quality of your own work. I am very patient and approachable. With my long experience of teaching, I will ensure you have a variety of different interactive yet effective learning methods so that you don't get bored. Motivation and persistence are key to doing well.
