Hello! Do you need assistance with biology, anatomy, physiology, or other human health sciences? Are you looking for practical in-the-trenches pearls to help you understand the topics you are learning in school?
A few months ago I retired from the Air Force where I held many positions to include Board-Certified Obstetrician Gynecologist, Flight Surgeon, International Health Specialist, and Sexual Assault Medical Forensic Examiner.
I have had the pleasure of teaching human health sciences in both academic and clinical settings, and I am best teaching one-on-one or in small groups - whether to freshmen in introductory biology, to students of medicine and nursing, and to medical students and physicians.
I graduated from Binghamton University with a B.A. in Biology, then in 2002 earned my M.D. at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland, then completed my residency in OB/GYN in 2006. In 2020 I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Masters in International Relations.
I have taught health concepts, military medicine, and medical leadership throughout the world, focusing on Eastern Europe and across the continent of Africa.
My international teaching experiences have ranged from small-group practicums in trauma medicine, public health, and patient movement techniques in more than a dozen countries, to organizing multinational conferences addressing infectious and contagious diseases, and addressing a United Nations Workshop in Ethiopia on the health consequences of combat-related sexual violence.
Now that I have retired from clinical medicine, I look forward to getting to know you as your tutor, so that you can realize the joys and successes of attaining your own academic goals!

I enjoy wildlife photography and travel, and recently took up an interest in woodworking. I am learning how to build and refinish furniture, working my way up from basic cabinets and shelves, to (one day) exquisite tables and dressers.
