As a public school teacher for 11 years, I am passionate about helping students reach their fullest potential. I love watching students grow and become confident, lifelong learners! I was a reading interventionist for 2 years in an elementary school for students in kindergarten through 3rd grade. I then taught 5th grade for 8 years before I was moved to teach 2nd and 3rd grade. Aside from teaching daily in my classroom, I also offer tutoring after school to all students in my school. I love meeting students where they are and helping them go beyond what they think they can do! I attended a small, private institute called St. Catharine College for my bachelors of science in elementary education. I attended the University of the Cumberlands for my masters degree in school counseling. I have taught and tutored all grade levels from kindergarten to 5th grade in all subjects. I am a positive, loving, and caring person with an upbeat attitude for teaching!

I love spending time with my family-my husband and two children. We love traveling across our own state to visit all of the state parks. Our goal is to see/visit ALL state parks in my home state. We love watching our son play baseball as well as being outside together. My favorite thing of all is traveling to the beach! It is truly my happy place! More specifically I love reading on the beach!
