I received a B.A. in English, M.A. in English, and D.Ed. in Educational leadership (A.B.D.). My teaching experience in English includes elementary school (reading specialist), middle school (Language Arts and Corrective Reading), high school (English), and higher education (undergraduate English courses) both at the community college and university. In addition, I worked with the College Board to score the essay portion of the S.A.T.s and AP English exam, and I am a volunteer senior advisor for Crosby scholars, an organization that prepares students for college admission. I love working with and tutoring students! Recently, I started writing and publishing lessons on Study.com. Outside of academia, my interests are music and books. I've created a playlist every month since January 2008; my bank of music tracks is extensive. When I am not exploring new music, I am either working on writing my own book or listening to audiobooks.
