For over 10 years, I have enjoyed helping students reach their goals. Student-centered instruction is always my goal, whether in the classroom or a one-on-one setting.
I began teaching adult ESL on a volunteer basis in 2011 and fell in love with it! I quickly realized the best way to serve my students better was through learning more myself. I got my TEFL certificate in 2012 and my MATESL from the University of Illinois- Urbana Champaign in 2017. While studying, I continued to teach and tutor on a regular basis. Upon graduation, I worked in a continuing education center, helping adult language learners reach their goals of becoming independent users of English. While I currently teach third grade English and social studies, I have experience teaching/tutoring English writing, pronunciation, listening, speaking, and grammar.
