Hi, my name is Dom. I graduated Magna cum laude (3.92) from Temple University (Biochemistry). I've been a tutor for 5 years. During this time, I've specialized in test prep with the SAT and, more recently, the MCAT. I scored a 520 (98th percentile) on the MCAT.
My teaching method largely consists of guided practice. Working with students on completing problems allows me to see their strengths and weaknesses. Then I can personalize an approach to hammer those weak spots and get students where they want to be. By working with students directly on the material, I give these students more exposure and help prepare them for the real exam. I've always found this exposure to be very important - so many brilliant students underperform due to test anxiety. This easiest way to beat anxiety? Exposure therapy. We'll go through these exams together until you're calm, cool, and collected during even the most challenging questions.
