Certified Tutor

My name is Florence Twu. I'm a first generation Taiwanese American currently located in Illinois. I completed my undergraduate education in Social Studies at Harvard College. I also hold architecture and landscape architecture degrees from the NewSchool of Architecture & Design and University of Pennsylvania, respectively.

I began tutoring high school students in the SAT and STEM subjects in 2005, furthering a lifelong interest in education. I've also worked with students in the language arts, private school entrance exams, and, most recently, college application essays.

My teaching style is personalized and dynamic. During sessions, students typically solve problems and practice skills.

When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy activities with my dog Nova, pastry making, and design.
