A growth mindset is one that understands that the only limitations on your ability to grow all comes down to what you decide. This is something I have come to learn over my high school career and something that still stands true as a college freshman. I remember one specific instance where this notion was held to the test is when I took AP Physics my senior year. I had purposely avoided taking physics for the first 3 years of high school because I had let my self believe the course would be too difficult for me. But I decided since it was my last year of high I was going to try my luck and at least come out of it having learned something. Not only did I pass the class with an A- and the AP test with 4 at the end of the year, I thoroughly enjoyed all the challenges and frustrations that came with; which was in part due to the fact I had a patient and humorous teacher. Consequently this is a philosophy I hold in high regards and will always stand by.
