Certified Tutor

I'm a paleontologist with a passion for teaching! My scientific expertise sits at the intersection of my two favorite subjects: Biology and Earth Science. I have taught science and designed educational materials for every age level, in college classrooms, grade-school summer camps, and public museums. In my experience, there's no such thing as a boring topic once you've found the right angle of approach.
I earned my Bachelor's at Penn State and my Master's at East Tennessee State, both in Geosciences with a focus on fossils and evolutionary history. I've done research, field work, and lab work, but nothing has ever excited me as much as education. I'm actually a bit of a compulsive teacher: when I'm not tutoring, I'm a science writer and educational podcaster.
