Lets be real for a moment. Learning is fun, but sometimes the process needs a little adaptation. With that being said, I try to incorporate a new way of looking at and learning about a subject or topic.
Now that you know about how I approach teaching, allow me to go into detail on my tutoring experience. During my graduate degree program, I focused on teaching and training others in the art of teaching and learned that each student has her or his own way of discovering the world around them. I acquired this knowledge through developing not only a passion for each student as a unique individual with a way of approaching the various concepts they must learn.
My qualifications include a Masters degree in Human Communication with a bachelors in Bible and Communication with over four years of teaching experience within a variety of subject areas including American Sign Language, Communication/Public Speaking, remedial Math and Science, and English.
In my free time, I like spend time with friends and family, play with my service dog Grey, and observe nature in its natural state. Lets do this!

What is your teaching philosophy?
My teaching philosophy is derived from the principles of service first, whereby I assess and adapt to the particular student's needs and expand upon her or his knowledge basis through lectures, hands-on activities, and repetition.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
The answer to this is simple. I begin with a conversation to assess what they feel their needs are and note where she or he would like to be once our time together is concluded.
