I am a graduate of Saint Joseph???s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where I received my Bachelor???s Degree in Mathematics and Master???s Degree in Math Education. Since graduate school, I have recently completed by fifth year of teaching; I have taught 8th grade General Math and Algebra 1, with students being extremely successful on their standardized state test and benchmark exams. I absolutely love what I do and I love helping my students find success both inside and outside of the classroom. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, running/exercising, spending time with family and friends, and trying new experiences!

What is your teaching philosophy?
I believe all students can achieve, with the dedication of good teachers. I want to help my students be as successful as possible and inspire a love of learning. As a math teacher, I want to help my students become competent problem solvers and critical thinkers.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
During the first session, I think it's important to get to know the student I will be working with as much as possible. Every student is different, and therefore learns differently. If I want to be an effective tutor, it's necessary I learn about their background, interests, strengths, and needs as a student.
