I believe in teaching in the way YOU learn best, whether it be, visual, auditory, tactile/kinesthetic (action-based). With a Bachelor's degree in Speech and Language therapy, I am experienced in providing speech and language related training to aid elementary aged students in attaining developmentally appropriate skills. As a curriculum writer, graphic designer and dance instructor, I work to incorporate every student's strengths and talents into the tutoring sessions. I love to use mnemonics, visual aids, storytelling, drama, flashcards, study games and graphic organizers! I take great joy in helping students succeed. I have been described as warm, patient, calm and caring. I can easily relate to students of all ages and am able to break down complex information. I have worked as an assistant preschool teacher and as a beloved camp counselor for many years.

My teaching philosophy is focused on skill building: My goal in tutoring is to give you/your child the skills to be able to work independently outside of the tutoring session, and translate these skills to a classroom environment. I have tutored students in Reading, Writing, Literature, History, Math, Hebrew, Regent's subjects, CLEPs and Photoshop. I have also helped many students in studying for tests, homework, report writing and research. I have experience in working with students with learning disabilities, social/emotional challenges and ADD/ADHD.
