I obtained my Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Purdue University. I majored in history and secondary education and am currently studying accounting. I have worked as a substitute teacher as well as a tutor for various entities. I have tutored in just about all academic areas but my favorite is math and just about anything to do with numbers. My teaching philosophy is that the teacher serves as a guide while learning is primarily the work of the student. I take the tutoring approach of starting with the students strengths and building on them in order to apply them to their weaknesses. Outside of academia, I enjoy music, sports and pop culture.
