I am a recent graduate of the University of Washington with a degree in Biology (Cellular, Molecular, and Development) and I am here to do whatever it is I can to help you succeed. I know what it is like to struggle with difficult concepts when you feel that teachers do not explain well enough. Through these struggles I learned how to study efficiently with more depth than just pure memorizing. I will teach you how to look at these different subjects from your own perspective that eventually will just be common sense. If you are taking Biochemistry by any chance, I can tell you tricks on how to memorize it in a way that will stay with you long after the class is over.
I was also a transfer student from Highline Community College (AS in Biology on the vice president's list) and excelled in subjects such as Introductory Biology, Organic Chemistry, and Microbiology, so I can relate to people who are not in college yet as well as helping with the transition from small community college to huge university settings. At UW, I thought about how much harder it would have been from community college, but honestly, it was not that much more difficult. During my undergraduate career, I partook in activities such as the UW dream project where we mentored high school children that came from low economic backgrounds, undergraduate research, and some Vietnamese based volunteer work. I also did some freelance tutoring around my University campus in subjects such as Organic Chemistry, upper division Biology, Introductory Biology, as well as Biochemistry.
