As an educator with over 22 years of experience, including over 2 years of focused tutoring, I am passionate about igniting a love for learning in young students. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Ashford University, specializing in Elementary School English, Math, and Reading for Pre-K through second grade. My teaching philosophy is centered on creating engaging, interactive lessons tailored to each child's unique learning style, ensuring they not only grasp foundational concepts but also build confidence along the way. I believe that when students understand the "why" behind their lessons, that knowledge becomes a lifelong asset. Witnessing their growth and enthusiasm is what drives me to tutor, and I thrive on making learning a fun and rewarding experience. I am particularly passionate about teaching reading and math, as I see these subjects as essential tools for problem-solving and understanding the world around them.
