Certified Tutor

Working with students is something I am passionate about because I know how challenging school can be. I used to struggle a lot with school as well until I got the hang of it and figured out some very helpful methods that benefited me and led me to success. I would describe my experience working with students as very comfortable. I tend to be super calm and patient with students and try to understand where their comprehension is and see where I can help. I am currently a college student at New Mexico State University working towards my bachelor's degree in Kinesiology. Some of the subjects I tutor are Math and Science. One of my favorite subjects to tutor is Math. I've always enjoyed math because you can always find your mistakes within your equations. Math can also be very useful for real-life situations and can always come in handy. My teaching philosophy is to make things clear and useful for the student while also making it less stressful for the student. My tutoring style is more of a visual learning I like to go over the subject by either writing or drawing it out so the student may understand how it may look right now rather than just explaining it. In my free time I run track for the New Mexico State Track and Field team. I also like to spend time with my friends and love to get into creative hobbies like crocheting, painting, and drawing.
