As the CEO and founder of Janet's Planet, I have dedicated over 29 years to inspiring the next generation of space explorers through dynamic science education and outreach. My passion for making space and science accessible to all has driven me to create engaging educational content that ignites curiosity and fosters a lifelong love of learning in students of all ages.

I had the honor of serving as President of Explore Mars, Inc., from 2019 to 2023, where I worked alongside industry leaders to advocate for Mars exploration and STEM initiatives.

My dedication to space education has been recognized with the prestigious 2022 AAS Sally K. Ride Excellence in Education Award, reflecting my commitment to inspiring and empowering students through innovative STEM programming.

My Bachelor's Degree is in Commercial Music and Theatre from Belmont University. My love of space and astronomy began in the 5th grade, inspired by my teacher, Ms. Ernestine Yarborough-Jones.

I love teaching about the solar system, stars, planets, asteroids, past, present, and future NASA missions, the unsung heroes and heroines of space, science, engineering, and innovation. ( I also really love to teach acting and improv! I currently have a former student on Saturday Night Live, James Austin Johnson.)

Through my work, I strive to connect students with the wonders of the cosmos, emphasizing the importance of curiosity, critical thinking, and exploration. Whether through live events, digital content, or hands-on workshops, my goal is to equip the next generation with the tools and inspiration they need to see themselves as part of the future of space exploration.
