Certified Tutor

I have 39 years of experience in the field of education. I am passionate about helping students learn and meet their academic goals.
Of those 39 years, I spent 26 working as a high school English teacher. I enjoyed opening students' minds to grammar, writing, and the various genres of literature. I enjoy teaching / tutoring English because there is much to explore in writing and reading. When a person reads a short story or a novel, they can be transported to any place and time in the world through their imagination. Writing about those interpretations can be exciting and fun!
I have a BA in English and Speech Communications from Corpus Christi State University (now TAMU-CC). I have an MA in Education from Kaplan University. Finally, I have a Ph.D in Education from Capella University. I look forward to helping students reach their academic goals in life.
