Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University. I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art. Although I studied art in university, I really found my passion for language when I lived in Germany. While living there I had to learn the language so I took a few classes of German up to the B1 level. The language learning process was full immersion so no other language was spoken, just German. It was difficult but I worked hard and learned so much from that learning process. In Germany I also volunteered to teach at a few English camps where students could come for a week to have fun and also practice their English. After coming back to the United States I realized how much I loved teaching English and wanted to find a position like I had experienced in Germany teaching at English camp. I was fortunate to find a job in a high school working as a paraprofessional working with students who were coming from different countries around the world. I assisted the teachers in helping the students learn English. I learned so much just by working with the teachers and the students. I am currently volunteering as an ESL teacher to adults. I am very happy teaching my students and enjoy seeing their progress and their excitement to learn.
