Certified Tutor

Hi there, I am Cecily McPherson, and I would love to be your tutor. I have been a passionate writer/reader since childhood, dabbling in fiction/nonfiction, poetry, and journaling. I have held numerous writing positions such as a blog writer for CIEE, a content writer for Better Content Matters, and a volunteer

I pursued my undergraduate degree at Oakland University and received a double major in Communication and English. As a member of Oakland University's honors college, I worked as an honors college TA (2018-2020), instructing a group of 20 students throughout the mandatory course HC 1000. Since graduating, I became a certified ESL teacher and moved to Madrid where I taught ESL at a secondary school.

After two years of teaching and tutoring English in Madrid, I moved to Edinburgh to begin a masters of science at the University of Edinburgh. My master's degree focuses on climate studies and the geographical and cultural aspects that influence climate change.

With a deep passion for learning and teaching, I am happy to provide the necessary and tailored resources to ensure a positive learning experience and greater success.
