Certified Tutor

I have one year of classroom teaching experience and one year of tutoring experience. I was a Teaching Assistant at Lane Tech College Prep in Chicago and I served as a member of the Academic Committee for the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity. I have experience working with both childen and adults on the autism spectrum (ASD) and I have ADHD myself. I currently have an Associate of Arts in International Studies with a concentration on cultural anthropology from Harold Washington College.
I am working toward a Bachelor's in Biochemistry with plans of later attending Physician Assistant school.

I tutor all social sciences and I specialize specifically in anthropology and geography. I also tutor math and psychology from the middle school level through the college level. I also tutor for multiple tests such as the ACT, SAT, and the NREMT along with multiple AP exams. I find tutoring history and geography to be the most fun. This is mainly because I think most teachers and tutors in this area are quite boring and my approach to these subjects is very different. Nearly everything in the world can be broken down into something smaller, both literally and figuratively. There is no such thing as a concept that is too complex to understand. Any concept can be broken down into things that people understand quite easily.

Outside of the classroom, I dedicate most of my time to coaching lacrosse and working as an EMT. In my free time, I like to play basketball and cook.
