I have a Degree in English Language and Literature from the City University of New York. I have been a teacher for ten years, both in classrooms and online. I have taught all grade levels from kindergarten and elementary school, to college and adult learners. Most of my time has been in middle school and high school. I also hold a TEFL / ESL Certification. I have extensive experience teaching Vocabulary, Grammar, Phonics, Reading, Pronunciation, Reading Comprehension, American Literature, British Literature, Literary Analysis, Poetry (reading and writing), Creative Writing, Academic Writing, Public Speaking, Listening Skills, Literacy, and Test Preparation (SAT, KET, PET, FCE, IGCSE, and IELTS). I also teach Art History, Mythology, Folklore, American History, World History, Science, and Journalism. I help students discover new knowledge, unlock their abilities, practice critical thinking, and explore their ideas. Education is the key to future opportunities, and any student can achieve any dream. I inspire my students to surpass their goals and exceed their expectations. I use multiple different teaching methods when presenting new materials and concepts, in order to keep all students interested and engaged. I always practice patience, empathy, and kindness with students and parents.
