Certified Tutor
I double majored in psychology and religion & culture at Wilfrid Laurier University with minors in criminology and anthropology. I also took most of a social work degree before changing directions. I am currently working towards getting my TESOL certification.
I tutored in the classroom and provided supportive and inclusive education for disabled & neurodivergent students and ELL. I also assisted the teacher working with neurotypical/abled bodied children so I have lots of experience with children with many different abilities. I also ran my own buisness where I did workshops and taught classes for Indigenous culture, history and social issues to both students and adults.
I believe every child- and adult- should have access to education and any support they need to succeed! Every person has their own special ways of learning and I will never try to hammer a circle piece into a square hole. I like to get to know each student's strengths & weaknesses as well as their likes and dislikes to make learning both effective and fun!
