When I needed a tutor the most, I was in the midst of my University applications and had just started working as a Swim Instructor. Teaching swimming to kids, adults, and seniors, a physical skill, (sometimes in one group!) compelled me to get creative in ways to carry out the lesson plan. There was no better place to see that one size does not fit all, which inspires my learning philosophy to this day.
You and I will work with a personalized lesson plan based on where you are and where you want to be - based on your unique learning style.
As for my background, I was a Bachelor's student for some time at at the University of Toronto, where I received specialized training in educational pedagogy. Today, I am a student and an Industrial-Engineering-in-training here in Montreal with the hope of one day, making a splash in the space sector.
I can be your aid in English, the sciences, college admissions, essays, study skills and techniques, and I hold a soft spot for Math. My previous training has showed me ways I can make my teaching practices inclusive and accessible for different types of learners, so whatever your goals, we will tailor the plan! I also have practice using multimedia resources to switch up lessons and explanations to help you grasp a concept in more than one way.
Outside of academia, you will find me at a tennis lesson, enjoying live jazz or experimenting with a new recipe!
