Certified Tutor

I have a strong passion for educating and helping students because I was inspired by tutors who helped me at a young age. Now, I want to do the same and empower other young students. I have worked with several age groups, from kindergarteners to grade 8 students. For these age groups, I help with music/vocals, music/piano, and poetry! I can also teach basic science. I have strong knowledge and motivation to teach health/science and English because I am currently studying health sciences at the University of Waterloo with knowledge in these subjects. My experience with the younger age groups is that being patient and creating learning materials that are interesting and interactive should aid in their overall success. I received my high school diploma with honours from Grand River Collegiate Institute. My favourite subjects to tutor would be music/vocals, in the genres of classical, pop, and jazz because they are my favourite genres to teach. I also have a passion for teaching singing lessons because I am a musician and have a strong background in vocals from numerous teachers. I have a large platform and continue to do studio work in my spare time. I would tailor my curriculum to the interests of the students and ensure that I capture their learning goals for their overall success. Some hobbies that interest me outside of academics are learning the piano, creating songs, and watching live performances. I also like to go for nature walks and travel in my spare time!
