Certified Tutor

I am a junior at Rhodes College, majoring in Chemistry with a minor in Spanish on the pre-med track. On campus, I conduct Chemistry research as well as clinical research at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital and serve as the president of our Medical Spanish Club. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Chemistry, Math, and Spanish. In my experience helping students who are having trouble with organic chemistry, we always seem to have the most fun working through the mechanisms and aiming to understand why each molecule reacts the way it does. I am a firm proponent of understanding concepts rather than memorizing, and I find it especially empowering to master a difficult subject. I believe that anyone can be capable of succeeding in difficult courses! I truly enjoy learning, and I hope to share my appreciation for the topics in education can apply to one's life. In my free time, I enjoy reading, working out, crocheting, cooking, boating, and spending time with family.
