Certified Tutor

As a tutor with a strong background in the social work profession, my primary goal is to help social work students achieve their academic and professional aspirations. With a Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor of Social Work from Northwestern State University, I have acquired the necessary knowledge and skills to support students on their educational journey.

With over 20 years of hands-on experience in the social work field, I understand the challenges and opportunities that arise in this dynamic profession. I believe that my practical experience enhances my ability to guide students through real-life scenarios and applications, making their learning experience more relevant and enriching.

My teaching style is collaborative, nurturing a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to express their thoughts and engage in meaningful discussions. I firmly believe that every student brings a unique perspective and background to the table, and by embracing diversity, we can enrich our understanding of social work principles and practices.

As a tutor, my focus is on helping MSW graduates prepare for their licensure exams. I understand the significance of these exams in shaping their future careers and the impact they have on the communities they will serve. I am dedicated to assisting and guiding through comprehensive exam preparation and targeted guidance to ensure my students feel confident and well-equipped to excel in their licensure exams. In addition due to my love of writing, as a tutor, my focus is also on helping college students enhance their writing skills.

Beyond academia, I have diverse interests, including traveling, reading, and writing. I am a former blogger and published author. These hobbies inspire me to continuously seek new perspectives and innovative teaching methods to keep my tutoring sessions engaging and relevant. I believe that learning should be a journey of exploration and growth, and I will strive to instill this passion in the students I will serve.
