As a tutor, my approach is centered around fostering impactful relationships with children and youth, empowering them to discover their potential. For the past three years, I have taught complex engineering concepts to undergraduate students, helping them develop a strong foundation of knowledge and skills for advanced courses. I employ various teaching methodologies and techniques, including interactive discussions and real-world examples to make the subject matter engaging and relatable.
A typical lesson plan involves introducing key concepts, facilitating group discussions, and providing practical applications to enhance understanding. I prioritize student engagement and encourage active participation to promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Additionally, I have experience evaluating student progress, providing constructive feedback, and supporting their learning journey.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my deep understanding of the unique needs and experiences of individuals with disabilities. Through my role as a Disability Resource Centre invigilator, I have developed a profound appreciation for their abilities and strengths. This insight enables me to create inclusive and accommodating learning environments that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
While my tutoring experience has primarily focused on undergraduate students, I have also volunteered as a math and literature educator for marginalized children. This experience has allowed me to work with children facing socio-economic challenges, empowering them through education and offering opportunities for growth.
