Passionate about education, I am captivated by the transformative power of knowledge and the potential to inspire young minds, which is why I am drawn to tutoring. My experience working with students has spanned across continents and roles. From being a Teaching Assistant during my graduate studies in Australia and doctoral research in Canada, to serving as a personal tutor for students across various grade levels, my teaching journey has been as diverse as it has been rewarding.
My academic journey is a testament to my belief in lifelong learning. Currently, I am undertaking doctoral research in Environmental Design at the University of Calgary, Canada, which followed my Master's in Environment Engineering and Pollution Control in Australia. This advanced study was built upon the strong foundation of my early education in India, where I completed a Bachelor's and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
My educational journey, extensive teaching experience, and intrinsic interest in subjects have equipped me to tutor a wide range of subjects, specifically focusing on Mathematics, Science, Earth Science, Environmental Studies, and Engineering. Among these, I find immense satisfaction in tutoring Physics for its inherent principles that unravel the mysteries of the universe, and Environmental Studies, which I view as an urgent and exciting field to introduce to students. Additionally, my background in Civil, Architectural and Environmental Design, and Mechanical Engineering allows me to extend my tutoring to areas such as Thermodynamics, Urban Design, and Technical Writing, providing a well-rounded, comprehensive learning experience for my students.
In terms of my teaching philosophy, I strive to make learning relatable and engaging. I am a firm believer in the power of practical application of theoretical concepts, as well as the importance of instilling life skills such as resilience, gratitude, and confidence in students. My tutoring style is one of guidance and mentorship, where I aim to inspire curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and nurture self-belief.
Outside of academia, I'm passionate about exploring the intersection of technology and nature, an interest that often informs my teaching and enables me to make lessons innovative. I eagerly look forward to bringing this enthusiasm to Varsity Tutors, where I hope to inspire students on their learning journey.

Beyond academia, my interests are varied and largely centered around the natural world and outdoor activities. I am an avid hiker and river rafter, which I believe not only challenge me physically but also provide a refreshing perspective on our relationship with nature. My love for nature aligns well with my passion for science, particularly astronomy - the stars and galaxies fascinate me endlessly. I also find time to indulge in cricket, a sport that adds a dose of healthy competition and teamwork to my life. These diverse interests, I believe, keep me grounded and balanced, and often find their way into my teaching methodology, making learning a more engaging and relatable experience for my students.
