I am Nishanthi, a dedicated Senior Lecturer in Statistics currently working at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. With a rich academic background and over two decades of experience in the field of Statistics, I have had the privilege of working in esteemed educational institutions and contributing significantly to the realm of statistical research.
Before joining MMU, I served as a Professor in Applied Statistics at the Department of Agribusiness Management, Faculty of Agriculture and Plantation Management, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka. Throughout my tenure, I conducted a diverse range of courses encompassing statistics and operational research.
My expertise lies in applied statistics. I am passionate about demonstrating the practical applications of statistical techniques in various fields and industries. Through real-world examples and case studies, I strive to illustrate how statistics can be utilized to extract meaningful insights and inform decision-making processes.
Teaching basic mathematics and applied statistics allows me to combine my love for both subjects and contribute to students' academic and professional development. I am committed to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment, where students can actively participate, ask questions, and explore the intricacies of these subjects.
