Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Gardner-Webb University where I received my Masters of Business Administration with concentrations in Human Resources & Information Systems. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree from Northern Illinois University with concentrations in Accounting & Operations Management Information Systems. (Fun fact, during my senior year at NIU, I did my internship in Egypt where we created a software package for the weights and measures for the Suez Canal. How cool is that? That experience made me fall in love with traveling the world.) I am a lifelong learner who worked full-time while going to school full-time. That has allowed me to bring "real world" examples to help students understand and apply concepts. I worked in restaurant retail, grocery retail, and pharmaceutical retail all in Business Operations and Human Resources and now run my own company. Given my background working with students from high school to executives at corporations, I have the ability to break things down in such a way the student can understand.
I'm your cheerleader and it brings me great joy when you pass your exam or simply catch onto a concept. It is very rewarding to me when my students learn a new skill, applies, and/or passes their exam.
I don't believe there is one way to tutor/teach everyone. Ideally, I like to explain a concept, show you how to do it, then have you do it yourself. With that said, I will find out how you learn best and adapt accordingly.
I tutor many different courses, Business, Corporate Finance, Financial Accounting, Human Resources, Managerial Accounting, HR Certification (SHRM, HRCI), Personal Finance, etc. I especially love to teach business topics and prep students for their HR Certification and have tutored/taught thousands of students in 9 different countries.
I believe everyone needs education and it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life. I demonstrate that by being a lifelong learner myself. I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students.
