Certified Tutor

I obtained my Bachelor's degree in education at Angelo State University in 2018. From there I started my Career.
Small group instructor: I taught grades K-5th grade from teaching students Phonics, fluency, and comprehension skills. I also taught two small groups in 2nd and 3rd-grade Math skills. In my last year as an instructor, I worked as a special education teacher. This included lesson planning for small groups, going to ARDs, and making sure students were getting the correct help they needed to be successful with their goals.
6th-grade ELAR teacher: For two years I taught 6th-grade ELAR, collaborating with a team, making lesson plans, and making sure students are actively engaged.

Philosophy: I believe that every student has a right to a proper education, no matter their social status, race, ethnicity, or disabilities.
I truly believe that as a teacher it is our job to lead the next generation in exploring and discovering what this world has to offer.

Tutoring subjects:
I tutor a lot of fluency, comprehension, and phonics students. I also tutor students who struggle with math from K-5th grade. These are my strong suits but I am willing to help and learn new things.

Specialties:
I have worked with a lot of IEP students and 504, so I understand the difficulty of trying to make sure your student gets the best quality care.

What I like:
I love to read, cook new recipes, and be in nature. Often when I am not tutoring I am outside walking my dog as we bird watch!
