I have been Head of department in an inner London school for the past 6 years. I have detailed understanding of the GCSE and A level Sociology specification. I have a secure understanding of all content and exam skills required for Grade 9 at GCSE and grade A* at A level. I am very good at embedding different teaching and learning strategies to ensure all students learn and progress. This has been reflected into fantastic exam results. Three years in a row, my department has achieved a progress 8 score of +1.46 and above, which is well above average. The current Alps for my department is 2, which is well above average too. This means my students achieve higher than their target grades and fulfil more than their potential. I can ensure grade 9 at GCSE and A* at A level.
