I am a California licensed attorney and paralegal in Virginia. I enjoy teaching and watching my students succeed both academically and mentally. As an attorney, I appreciate and understand how important a solid education is to succeed in school and in a future career - whatever those goals may be. I strive to make my students feel confident in the subject matter and believe in themselves and their ability to learn the most basic to the most complex subjects. I have strong writing and research skills, am familiar with the college and graduate school application process, and passed the California Bar Exam on the first attempt. I use various teaching strategies to ensure my student's use their strengths while learning. For example, I will use visual aids, real life examples as to why a subject is relevant, and give students hands-on opportunities to learn by themselves. This is the most important, to know you can accomplish any task yourself.
