I am passionate about helping students because I believe that education is a powerful tool in shaping the future. I have always been driven to assist others in their learning journey and make a positive impact on their lives. Witnessing the "aha" moments and watching students grow in their knowledge and confidence brings me immense joy and fulfillment.

My experience working with students spans several years. I have worked as a peer tutor during my undergraduate years, assisting fellow students in various subjects such as Writing, Biology, and Chemistry. Additionally, I have volunteered at local schools and community centers, providing academic support to students from diverse backgrounds. These experiences have allowed me to develop strong communication skills and an optimistic perspective of the different learning styles and needs of students.

I received my education at Grambling State University, where I completed my Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. I then went on to receive my Master's degree in Chemistry from Louisiana State University, geaux tigers! I am passionate about continuous learning and constantly strive to improve my knowledge and skills to better help students.

As a tutor, my expertise lies in subjects such as Math, English, Biology, and Chemistry. I enjoy tutoring these subjects because I believe they provide a solid foundation for further academic pursuits. Seeing students build confidence and understanding in these key areas is incredibly rewarding.

My teaching philosophy revolves around creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. I believe in tailoring my approach to each student's unique learning style and needs, adapting my teaching methods accordingly. I emphasize the importance of critical thinking and problem-solving skills, encouraging students to actively participate in their own learning process. Through constructive feedback and positive reinforcement, I aim to inspire confidence and foster a love for learning.

Outside of academia, I have a range of interests and hobbies. I enjoy staying active by jogging, hiking and weightlifting. I am also passionate about poetry and photography. Additionally, I find solace in exploring different music genres like chillhop. These interests help me maintain a balanced and well-rounded perspective.

I am excited to continue my journey of helping students and making a difference in their educational experiences. Through my dedication and passion, I aim to empower students to reach their full potential and achieve their goals.
