I am a published author. I have written two books of poetry and one work of fiction (Literary Horror). My short stories and poems have been published in many U.S. and Canadian literary magazines. I have won two poetry contests in Rockford, Illinois. In June of 2020, I graduated from McMaster University. My areas of study were English literature, Anthropology, and Political Science. I continue to take courses at Waterloo University and I am working towards an M.A. in English. I am a contributing writer for two magazines: "The Edge" and "The Elixir." I am passionate about helping students achieve their full potential. For me, school is not only about marks but becoming a fully functioning human being. My desire is that you take what you learn beyond a course and use it to live a more meaningful life.

When I am not writing and reading, I am reading and writing. Seriously though, I love watching Stranger Things (looking forward to season 5). I recently took up learning the piano (I needed more music in my life). I have a black belt in Wing Chun Kung Fu and I have fought as an amateur boxer. I am a compulsive picture taker. I love going for long walks and taking days off to enjoy the beach. We have a Yorkie terrier—she's really cute, however, she has a bark that makes us wish we didn't have eardrums.
