I graduated from the University of Alabama, receiving my Bachelor of Arts with a focus on English literature and philosophy. After graduating I set my sites on exploring the world. I took a job teaching in a very small town in the Sichuan Province of Western China. I traveled extensively learning and teaching wherever I went. I eventually settled in Shanghai where I taught a variety of subjects and age levels. I love teaching all subjects but especially love teaching and learning about history, culture and language. I have very well developed test taking skills and love to share that knowledge with my students. I believe patience and enthusiasm is the key to learning. I believe it is never too late in life to better yourself or to make a change. In my free time I enjoy playing softball (badly), reading books and listening to podcasts.
