Hello, My name is Elizabeth. I am a Chemistry graduate from the Xavier University of Louisiana in 2020. I had secondary studies of Biology and Mathematics. Upon graduation, I receive Departmental Honors in English. I attended a very competitive private high school in the ,entro Detroit area where I tookAP Calculus AB, AP Literature, and AP Composition. I scored above the 85th percentile in the English, Math, and Writing sections of the ACT.

I began tutoring with Kumon Learning Center in Farmington Hills at 16 years old (2013) after completing both the English and Math Programs. During this time, I tutored children From elementary to high school in Reading comprehension, English grammar, and Mathematics. During my college matriculation, I continued as a private and volunteer tutor in New Orleans. There, I aided children from kindergarten to college in math, English, and writing courses. I have tutored Math in Spanish, Spanish classes, and have experience with tutoring children with learning disabilities. My favorite math subjects to tutor include Geometry, Algebra, Pre-Calculus, and Trigonometry. I also have expertise in tutoring for the IOWA test, L.E.A.P, M.E.A.P, and ACT. In addition, I tutored General Chemistry at Xavier.

I am very kind and patient. Mostly, I am attentive. I typically can understand each child's needs and HOW they learn. I believe this is most important and likely how I gain the most success with my students. I like to mix different learning styles (visual, auditory, and kinesthetic) to ensure each child grasps the concepts and can apply them to their success. I am able to confidently and successfully adapt to each child's learning style to ensure his/her/their success.

I have always been lauded as an exceptional mathematician and math tutor. I graduated with a minor in Mathematics which required me to take various math courses including Linear Algebra, Calc III, and Differential Equations. I am a numbers girl and strategist at heart. I have been a math tutor for over 8 years, and it is truly a passion to aid children in understanding the strange world of numbers. In Geometry and Algebra, I have helped students go from unsatisfactory and D grades to B's and A's.
